Protos Engineering Company Private Limited is a professionally managed marketing and contracting company known for its quality services and products.

The company was established on 28th June 1949 as a private limited company belonging to the Harshadray Group. The keen interest of owners and their vision led the company to its prominent position today , in a competitive niche market of automobile, cement, fertiliser, oil, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastic, power, steel and sugar.

Founder president of the Indo German chamber of commerce late Mr. F K Heller was already active in the subcontinent as a trader even before the second world war. He founded Protos together with his Indian partner late Mr. N N Kapadia.

The company has a head office at Mumbai and branch offices at New Delhi, Kolkatta and Chennai with well equipped communication systems.

Protos employs around 60 people of which 35 are highly qualified engineers in their respective fields.


 

Entering The Area Of Manufacturing

In addition to the above Protos has started two joint venture companies with :
1) EC Montageautomaten Eccard Gmbh for manufacturing automatic assembly machines and now Sortimat Technology Gmbh & Co.,Winnenden-Germany for assembly and feeding technology.

2)  Delimon Gmbh , Duesseldorf - Germany now Delimon for manufacturing centralized lubrication systems for grease and oil.

Protos also founded many Indo-German joint ventures like Barmag, Carl Schenck AG, KSB Pumps, Siemens, Thyssen-Krupp Industries India Limited , Werner and Pfleiderer , etc.
